About Us

How does a farm boy from Utah meet and fall in love with a girl from Vermont? Well, our story beings in Logan and Utah State University where fate placed us in neighboring apartments. Our Bishop asked Royce to be a "family home evening Dad" and my roommate the “Mom”. And the rest….well that’s another story!

Royce ended up realizing he could not live without me and we were married before graduating college. Chasing employment brought us to Seattle. However we both grew up in small towns and knew that we wanted to raise a family in a similar environment. We decided on the Olympic Peninsula, one of the few remaining expanses of unspoiled Pacific Northwest, just across the water from Seattle. We love it here, rural enough but a ferry ride away from Seattle…perfect!

Our family has grown to include a daughter, Ana and a boy Sullivan…oh we can’t forget our big run-away dog Murphy! Aside from busy church callings we enjoy spending time together, watching Ana compete in swimming and serving as Sullivan's "test audience" for trying out new jokes.

Tryonzion.com is an idea that started a few years ago in the creative mind of my husband in his attempt to rid himself of the cubicle, be at home more with our family and escape the commute. We so appreciate the fact you’ve considered us!
